With realignment coming on Thursday morning at 9 a.m., and Guyer expected to move back down to Class 4A, head coach John Walsh has his nondistrict schedule set for the 2012-13 seasons, based on the assumption they will be a 4A team.
For the 2012 season, Guyer will open at home against Cedar Hill before going on the road to play Colleyville Heritage. Then the Wildcats will match up with Flower Mound Marcus, at a site to be determined, for the third and final nondistrict game.
Of course, if Guyer ends up in Class 5A, they could be district mates with either Marcus or Heritage and would have to find a new partner, but don't count on that happening.
Scheduling three good 5A programs, you can tell Walsh will miss playing a 5A schedule and getting back to the boring 4A one.
