D.J. Beshears is unbelievable. He pulled a catch out of triple coverage for a 50-yard gain. Ryan couldn't capitalize with a touchdown though as Guifarro hit a 22-yarder. Not getting in the end zone may come back to haunt the Raiders.

High drama here in Corinth. At first-and-goal from the Ryan 1, Franklin had three rushes for zero yards to make it fourth down. Lake Dallas went for it and scored. The whole sequence ate up a lot of time. We're about to see what Scotty Young is made of ...

I said at the start of the season when all of the talk was Ryan 10 -0 that they had a WEAK schedule. You can run but you cant hide. I said they would fold like a cheap tent. Look at the rest of the schedule they could loose to Little Elm, WF, The Colony, and Guyer. They will loose atleast two of those, if the make playoffs one and done!

Litle Elm and DHS will be a battle of 0fers. Ryan should win out. It was a great game, congrats to Coach Young and the falcons. Franklin is awesome.

You can't make good teams play you in non district. If you knew anything about Joey Florence you would know that he is not one to run and hide. Ryan would play a good non district schedule If anybody worth anything would have played them. They have lost to two very good teams by a combined seven points. Thats not exactly something to be embarrassed about. Also, just so you don't create a habit of making yourself look ignorant it is lose not loose. I'll use them in a sentence for you. They will lose at least two of those games. The knot is very loose.

raider - You have to understand that beating Ryan is HUGE for Lake Dallas. This is a very small 4A school playing in probably the best 4A district against a larger school with better, stronger talent on the football field. But, Lake Dallas has the heart to get it done. Don't throw around "wheres the class", these guys just beat Goliath. Awesome game! Congratulations Lake Dallas!

We have seen nothing but classless posts from many many of the raider nation, we didn't belong on the same field, white trash in LD, out of our league etc. etc. This was a big win for LD because of Ryan's arrogance! I told you keep putting is down and underestimate us. We've won (note spelling) and will win more Big games the season! Good Luck Ryan. Can't wait to do it again at your place next year! Huge win for the Falcons. This isn't basketball, you don't get two cracks at every team. You have to win games. The bottom line is both teams had the ball at the 1. Ryan had a false start and had to settle for the 3 points. Lake Dallas scored. Period. Also, Ryan had Lake Dallas 3rd and 12 and forced an incomplete pass in the 4th quarter, but a DB tackled a receiver not in the play. Ryan's defense is just flat out awful. They look confused. Their secondary gets burned quite a bit too. Ryan better be glad 4 teams get in the playoffs this year.

WHAT A GAME!!!! Everything I had Hoped for. This was amazing. Congrats to the Falcons and too bad the oh how do we say not so mighty raiders to lose this one in the closing minutes. Looked to me like the offense kinda choked under pressure. Bottom line the team with the most heart won this one. A real barn burner and a fantastic game. Congrats men!!!!

Raider, Lake Dallas is use to winning. I believe they have won district 2 years in a row and have not been beat at Falcon Stadium in over 2 years. If anything, it sounds like your a sore loser... Get over it.

You Rairder fans have trashed LD since we joined this district. All I can say is you have hurt your team with all that trash talking, it made them think they were better. They are both good teams, but LD came out on top. So has LD really been in a weak district and overrated or have you? Where's all your crap comments about whiskey and shoe shine boxes??

Coming from another Lake Dallas player...It's called a rivalry fellas. Guyer and Lake Dallas, although we have never played each other in varsity football, do have a bitter rivalry. Fights over girls, LD kids moving to Guyer, and two good football teams in the same district all have contributed to the tensions between the two schools. Rivals talk on blogs about how you're going to beat the other team. Rivals go to each others games and cheer for the opposition. It's all in good fun and will only make this friday's game more brutal, and therefore a better game. If Guyer wasn't going to go 5A in two years, these two schools would definately have a UT OU esque hatred for each other, which is what high school sports is all about.

guyer would not have a football team if it wasn't for ld,denton high and ryan communities to offer them kid's or should I say split and recruit kid's from those areas? And also guyer fan's, remember when ld made it to the 3rd round in the the play off against brownwood, remember that! I know you remember...any way, my point is where was the support? Was guyer at ld's side line cheering and supporting ld? That's why a lot of our fan's really didn't understand the situation about guyer saying hey, can't we just get along! We live about 2 to 3 miles from each other, but truth is.. you can't be trusted.

Let me clear up a little past history. Most of Guyer coach's 2 years ago were from Brownwood. They took a few Freshmen to the playoff game to get a taste of what that experience was like. We are talking about 6 Freshmen(one since transferred), all of whom are 2 year Varsity starters now and key contributers. I think Walsh wanted to put into their minds what we there for them if they worked hard. They were able to be in the locker room pre-game, listen to the talks and live the whole deal so yes they were a little too fired up. In fact, 1 got some conditioning work the next Monday for acting like such a fool. My son was one of them and all he could talk about the next day was what it was like and how he can't wait till Guyer is in the playoffs.
Now here we are, a major game with playoff implications, and a nice level of hate between the teams, this should be a special game. Just glad we lived up to our end of the bargin, after 1-19 there were some doubts!
Good luck to LD(not too much), hope there are no injuries, and it is a good clean game.

If your boy's want to fill the rush about varsity football, than why not ask to be at a pre game at ld,denton high or ryan. This is not hating on guyer, if were in denton county then support it. congrat's to guyer and what they have accomplished this year, but please do understand what your team did when we were at brownwood it was not cool.

Several of the Guyer Coaches, including Walsh, spent time in Brownwood on the coaching staff. So for the coaches to attend a game in which they have a history with one of the teams does not seem too far fetched. I think its more about building his program, and showing kids what its all about, then anything else.

Doesnt sound like its far fetched on the surface, and the coaches might have thought it was a good ideal and experience for the kids.
There were alot of people from LD that got to witness what really happened first hand. If you had been there you would not be saying "more about building his program, and showing kids what its all about, then anything else.".... you would be embarrassed !!
