One thing I didn't mention...

Adam Boedeker   E-mail   News tips

In my Lake Dallas-Old High gamer that will be in the morning paper... Wichita Falls scored its final touchdown with three seconds left against the Falcons' second-teamers. I can admit, I'd doubted Lake Dallas' defense all season thus far, but tonight they were ready to go.

With that said, the Coyotes were without their starting quarterback, which made them a severely one-dimensional team, along with their best wide receiver, who missed the entire second half and a bit of the second quarter. Now, I'm not saying the Coyotes would've won the game with those players -- they wouldn't have stood a chance. But we'll see how far the Falcons' defense has come next week when they face Ryan. That game should be a shootout of epic proportions.

Another thing I can admit? Lake Dallas is definitely a playoff team. I had them on the outside looking in (as many folks did) when the season started. Now, through two weeks they're sitting in first place in the district. Granted, there's a long way to go and they've played what are probably the 6th and 7th best teams in the district, but James Franklin is a stud as we all know, and this team will be a playoff team.

Actually, I did pick Lake Dallas to finish third in the district. The team I left out of the playoffs was Guyer. Oops...

Need I say more. Get ready to play a real team this week!

Good to see you coming around Adam! The thing about injuries is that the other team usually causes them. Eliminate 2 offensive mistakes and its 42-7 at the half. I'll guarantee this. LD will give both Ryan and Rider a good game. If LD can eliminate a few mistakes, and continue to improve on Defense, They could win em both! One thing about our Coach, he has pulled the starters very early in both of these 2 district games, and has had an opportunity to hang 50 or more every week. but why humilliate an oponnent, when you have to play them again in a year. Winning with Class is the only option in LD.

bla bla bla, keep drinking that RAIDER KOOL AID - District 5-4a is gonna find out this week how good this weak sister from 9-4a is. i know one thing, the RYAN PRETENDERS sorry RAIDERS will have 2 district losses after this week, but i am sure you will have an excuse for that too. That is what happens when you put some Lake Dallas whiskey in your KOOL AID!!

LDFalcon is right, well put!
Winning with Class is the only option, he pulled the dogs off early as always and got most of the team on the field again in WF's. This game wasnt close at all, LD totally laid the wood to WF from the opening kick off. LD's
defense played awesome last night and is getting better each week. The offense depending how hard coach Young pushes the throttle can score at will, seriously !! Should be a shoot out next week at the home of the LD Falcon's !!!

Raider Hommer FYI,
The Coyotes starting Qb wasnt at home on the couch, he was getting slung all over the field by the LD's D and unfortunately separated his shoulder (hope he's ok). As was their top reciever before he went down in the 3rd qtr for the second time, tore a calf muscle we heard (hope he'll be ok also). LD totally dominated this game start to finish, and were far superior to the Coyotes !!

LOL, Homer, How old are you? You sound like a HS dropout that only has one thing left in his miserable life and that is HS football from Denton Tx. You are probably rooting for the same school that you dropped or failed out of. You also seem to have a very big grudge for Lake Dallas. Whats up with that? Did you get your but kicked here at one time77 while still in school? You probably got busted here trying sell something to our kids and you blame everyone but yourself. I can read you like a book.
You need to get a life and you may find out that there is a whole other world out there outside of Denton Football, but you probably don't have a car to find that out...

Hey PAT,

How's the ol' blood pressure, looks way to high from here. Did homer hit a nerve?

Posted by Tom @ 3:30 PM Sat, Oct 04, 2008

Easy sports fans..Why can't we all just get along?

Posted by FalconFan @ 6:50 PM Sat, Oct 04, 2008

observer, PAT does seem a little hot but I don't blame him too much because this guy has been talking crap all year long about Lake Dallas.

Posted by Raider Hommer @ 8:45 AM Mon, Oct 06, 2008

Pat. I have a college degree, never smoked dope or used drugs, work in a very well respected profession, did not grow up in the DFW area and I do not hate Lake Dallas. Now you know who I am. So who are you?

Several of us(Yes me included) have made many off the wall comments about our favorite team in the spirit of competition. As a Ryan fan I want to see the Raiders do well but I also want to see Lake Dallas stick it to the falls schools and do well also. 99% of the people posting comments do not mean any harm by them however for some to attack the character of another blogger he does not know is very inappropriate. I agree with Tom lets just all get along and pull for the teams that will represent us the best in the playoffs.
Go Raiders and may the best team win this Friday.

One point- Ryan is the only team in the District that knows what it takes to win a State Championship

Posted by footballfan @ 12:22 AM Thu, Oct 09, 2008

The players have no clue what it takes to win a State Championship they were in 5th, 6th or 7th grade the last time Ryan won state, 01 & 02 was along time ago. Last time I checked the current players are the team, the State Championships are Ryan's History.
Oh FYI.... Wichita Falls has won 6 State Championships they are in the District are'nt they !!
