0:00 2Q: Lake Dallas held WF again and the Coyotes got a 56-yard punt from their backup QB down to the LD 1-yard line with 19 seconds left. Franklin ran up the middle and the clock ran out to halftime. 2:07 2Q: Franklin just scored on an identical run to his first touchdown, this time from 5 yards out to make it a 28-7 game. Things aren't looking good for the Coyotes injury-wise, or scoreboard-wise. The TD was set up by a beautiful one-handed grab by fullback Kameron Espinoza on a 29-yard gain down to the WF 4. 4:21 2Q: WF went for it on fourth and failed, but they're in bad shape now. Antwone Moore, the Coyotes' best offensive player came off the field without putting any weight on either leg. 4:26 2Q: Wichita Falls is facing 4th-9 from the LD 35 and we're in an injury timeout. Lake Dallas had a bad turn of events on their previous drive when James Franklin tried a quick kick on fourth down and had it blocked. The refs tacked on a horse collar penalty to give the Coyotes good field position, but it looks like they might get nothing out of it. 6:16 2Q: Lake Dallas' Cam Smith just returned the favor with a pick of his own. Lake Dallas has the ball at the WF 44. 7:53 2Q: Deja vu. Lake Dallas recovered a fumble deep in WF territory, and Franklin threw a pick on his first play. That's the second time that's happened tonight. 8:04 2Q: The Falcons just took a 10-play drive down the field 77 yards and Franklin capped off the drive with a 6-yard run around the left side. He dove over the pylon with an outstretched arm to give Lake Dallas the 21-7 lead. 0:11 1Q: Lake Dallas is starting at its 23-yard line after WF cut the lead in half. The Coyotes have had backup QB TJ Anderson in for the last two series. No one up here saw anything happen to Ben Henderson, but he's not visible on the sideline either. 0:17 1Q: James Franklin made a rare mistake and overthrew a receiver for an interception. Backup QB TJ Anderson for Old High found Moore on a slip screen, and he took it 55 yards to the house. 5:06 1Q: Antwone Moore just took a kickoff 102 yards back to the end zone, but it's coming back because of a holding penalty well behind the play. I bet Travis Pride is an unhappy camper right now. 5:18 1Q: The Falcons just struck again -- this time taking two plays. Marcus Drayton took a reverse and stopped, finding Joey Knight wide open down the right sideline for a 34-yard touchdown. 7:04 1Q: The rout is on? Lake Dallas needed five plays to go 79 yards highlighted by a 48-yard catch-and-run to Marcus Drayton down to the 5-yard line. Jared Beggs finished off the drive with a 5-yard run. 8:49 1Q: Lake Dallas gave up one big play on a 24-yard screen pass but other than that the Coyotes could do nothing offensively. Now, it's James Franklin & Co.'s turn. |
