Received this e-mail just now: "Denton, Texas - September 9, 2008 - Dave Campbell's Texas Football is proud to announce that the Guyer Wildcats have been named the Army Strong Team of the Week for Division 4A. Guyer knocked off highly-ranked Stephenville, 19-16, for its first 2-0 start in program history. The Wildcats were chosen for this honor because of their teamwork, dedication, discipline, personal courage and integrity, values shared by U.S. Army Soldiers. "By beating a long-time powerhouse, the Wildcats can pen the first chapter in their new program's history," said Adam Hochfelder, general manager of Dave Campbell's Texas Football. The award will be presented to the team at a time to be determined later this week by a representative of the U.S. Army." This is a pretty neat deal. Congrats are in order to the Wildcats.
