The Associated Press Texas state football polls came out today, and your Ryan Raiders received a total of zero votes. My guess is that's the first time in a long time Ryan hasn't even gotten a vote.
Last year, Ryan got a couple, and Denton got a few. My guess is that whoever voted for Denton was trying to vote for Ryan. That should tell you something about the validity of these polls.
I will say I think this poll nails it with its top three -- Austin Lake Travis, Wichita Falls Rider and Everman. Pilot Point comes in at No. 4 on the Class 2A poll. No other area teams received a single vote.

Not winning a playoff game in a few years will do that. I think they will be in the top twenty by the end of this season, maybe higher if they can find a pass rush.

With Rivals ranking Rider at #33 in the nation and #5 in Texas among all classifications, are you still predicting DR goes 10-0?

DR goes 9-1. Ryan has a shot to go 10-0 and the game with rider will be close. It will be tough to play Rider at home and beat them this year. The longer Ryan plays this year the better they will get. Unfortunately Rider is the first district game. I will be making the long trip to watch it. It should be one of the best games of the year to watch.
