Maurice Gordon’s performance against Rockwall last week shouldn’t have been a surprise.
The Ryan senior running back saw a heavy workload in the first game of the season. He carried the ball 23 times for 143 yards and Ryan’s lone touchdown in a 21-13 loss to the Yellowjackets.
Gordon said on Tuesday that Kansas State has started to show more interest in him, but the Wildcats have yet to offer the senior.
Ryan head coach Dave Henigan talked about Gordon’s value to the team and what he brings to the Raiders on a weekly basis.
