The Missouri football team lacked a captain heading into the season. Well, it looks like the Tigers chose a Ryan grad with skins on the wall.
The Southeastern Conference squad selected redshirt senior receiver Bud Sasser to be one of its captains this fall, per Sasser’s Twitter account. But don’t take my word for it.
Can't even describe the feeling you get when your teammates choose you to be their captain and help lead the way! Thanks fellas, means a lot

Sasser started nine of the 14 games he appeared in last year and set career highs with 26 catches for 361 yards and 13.9 yards per catch. His only touchdown last year came in a home game against Florida.
Sasser was fourth in receiving for the Tigers last season. The other three receivers ahead of him (Dorial Green-Beckham (with Oklahoma), Marcus Lucas (with the Carolina Panthers), L’Damian Washington (with the San Francisco 49ers) are no longer with the Tigers.
In other words, expect Sasser to be a main target for Missouri this season.
