With national signing day rapidly approaching, Ryan senior defensive end Sekou Clark moved one step closer to continuing his football career.

Clark orally committed to Louisiana-Monroe on Sunday, according to multiple recruiting websites.

Rivals.com, Scout.com and 247sports.com are all reporting that Clark committed to the Warhawks today. Clark was scheduled to visit ULM this weekend, and it looks like the Ryan senior liked what he saw.

A few days ago, he said he had been offered by Boise State, and the Broncos were interested in having Clark take an official visit. Clark becomes the first Ryan Class of 2014 football player to orally commit to a university.

Oral commitments are non-binding. The first day those in the Class of ’14 can sign is Feb. 5. Once I hear back from Sekou, we’ll have more on his commitment to the Warhawks.
