Things are getting a little clearer at Ryan with a week left until national signing day., but there is still uncertainty regarding the Raiders’ top recruits.
Schools are coming in late for Ryan senior defensive linemen J.T. Williams and Sekou Clark.
Clark’s stock has increased tremendously over the last week or so. Clark, who quietly committed to Louisiana-Monroe, took his visit to Boise State. The Broncos have offered Clark as well, and they might not be the only ones to do so before signing day. Texas State has shown some interest in the defensive end, while Vanderbilt is also expressing late interest.
Williams’ recruiting grows more hectic with each passing day. A while back, Williams held a Louisiana Tech offer, but the Bulldogs no longer want to take a defensive tackle with one of their few remaining spots.
Williams has been offered by Houston Baptist, and Massachusetts and Eastern Illinois (yes, the alma mater of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo). Arkansas State was at Ryan visiting with Williams today, and Southern Miss shows interest in the defensive tackle.
There’s a strong chance Williams commits after the weekend.
Other Ryan senior that already orally committed include: OL Tucker Cross (Henderson State), K Marc Orozco (Grambling State), RB Tyrone Williams (Prairie View A&M).
Ryan wide receivers Trent Willis and Xavier Gray are currently visiting Arkansas Monticello, a Division II school. Ryan defensive tackle Reese Strait also took a trip to Mary Hardin-Baylor last weekend and remains uncommitted as of now.
