Tonight may turn out to be a very important night for several Denton area teams as the district races heat up.
The Guyer Wildcats and Lake Dallas Falcons renew their “Swisher Showdown” when Guyer visits Lake Dallas in a key District 5-4A matchup. The Wildcats are 3-0 in district and remain atop the standings while Lake Dallas is 1-2 and desperately needs a victory to keep playoff hopes alive.
Denton, also 1-2 in 5-4A play, will be celebrating homecoming when Fort Worth Brewer visits Bronco Field. Brewer is also 1-2 so tonight’s winner will keep playoff hopes alive while the loser’s hope for a playoff appearance will take a severe blow.
Ryan plays host to the Hebron Hawks tonight in a 5-5A clash and the Raiders hope to improve to 2-0 in league play while the Hawks are looking for their first district win.
